A holistic approach to design
As the industry evolved, I transitioned into high-level digital design, spending four years with Disney on the Club Penguin team. This role required a thorough command of interactive, user-focused design and solidified my “mobile-first” philosophy. I recognized early on that, a mobile phone is not just a “secondary” device, but often the primary, and only, gateway to the internet and valuable information.
Design with Purpose
In 2022, I transitioned to full-time freelance work to ensure my creative energy aligns with my personal ethics. As a vegan, I am committed to a “do no harm” philosophy, and I bring that same intentionality to the organizations I partner with. I believe design is at its best when it is making a tangible difference.
Over the last decade, I have collaborated closely with Pamoja, developing a knack for translating complex academic reports and mission-driven briefs into engaging digital and print assets. My portfolio includes several projects for the University of Oxford Department of Psychiatry, involving branding and materials for research projects. I had a collaboration with NHS University Hospitals nationwide. These experiences have given me the “academic fluency” required to present rigorous evidence with absolute clarity.
Video & Accessibility
I am dedicated to producing design that is universally accessible while remaining dynamic and engaging. My approach is holistic; I often go above and beyond the initial brief to ensure the final product exceeds expectations.
Recently, I have been expanding my skillset to video editing and production. I recognize that in a “magazine-style” digital publication, video is a powerful tool for engagement. By blending video storytelling with clean graphic design, I can help the “reader” connect with ReBUILD’s work through multiple mediums, ensuring the message resonates regardless of how it is consumed.
